We’re not paid reviewers or professional food critics. We just love food: if it tastes good, it’s in ma belly. So when we moved to the North East from London (originally from Croydon and from Canada, there’s a fine gastro combo), we knew it was critical to keep a record of our food-loving experiences. Not least for our friends, who are to visit (Cornwall-based foodlovers, you know who you are), but because, also, we couldn’t find a similar site/blog/book out there to help us eat our way around the North East.

So now we’re based in Sunderland. Have appetite, will follow our noses around the country. We also love the North East. It’s friendly, you can smell the oak smoke from the other side of the Cheviots, rather than the dirty black boiling tar of TFL in the mornin’ (although to be fair, Ken Livingstone, you’ve done a fine job – we’re not leaving London because of the underground, not entirely…)
